Abbott never says ‘never’, while Sherry talks tough

In the face of the ALP’s highly-choreographed conference, Shadow Minister Tony Abbott is stirring the pot on the promotional rounds for his new book, Battlelines.

Speaking to Peter Switzer, Abbott reveals why he hopes Kevin Rudd is right, why he would never say ‘never’ to a shot at the leadership, and what he thinks the future holds for Australian politics.

And to the opposition, Assistant Treasurer Nick Sherry joins Switzer to discuss his warning that Australia needs to be prepared for future Budget cuts and higher interest rates as the economy recovers from the Global Financial Crisis. Sherry is also talking tough about cracking down on tax minimisation and tax evasion. He gives the facts about this crime as well as what the Government and the ATO are doing as part of a worldwide effort to prevent it.

Watch these interviews now on Switzer TV.
