  • North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has ventured outside his own country and has visited tourist sites in Singapore, hours before the historice summit with US President Donald Trump. Kim visited the Gardens by the Bay, Singapore's famous waterfront park with futuristic installations, which boasts the largest glass greenhouse and tallest indoor, man-made waterfall in the world.
  • A Donald Trump adviser Peter Navarro has said there will be "a special place in hell" for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as the White House has setpped up its G7 row. Trump also took to Twitter to share his spat with the Canadian PM calling him "very dishonest and weak". 
  • One of Australia's largest financial advice firms, scandal-plagued Dover Financial, will shut down its business by early July amid an ongoing investigation by ASIC. Its closure will leave around 30,000 of its clients, with more than $3 billion in funds under advice in limbo. ASIC has been unable to provide specifics about the impending closure.
  • Channel Nine is facing criticism after hiring disgraced cricketer David Warner to its commentary team for Saturday's one-day international against England. Co-host Karl Stefanovic suggested the appointment is a coup for Nine, adding that it is an 'outstanding' appointment. 
  • Australian shares are expected to open higher, ahead of this morning's historic summit between the US President and North Korean leader in Singapore. In US markets, the Dow Jones  index ended its day flat at 25,322 points. The S&P 500 rose 0.1%, with most sectors finishing in positive territory. The Nasdaq lifted 0.2% to 7,660. Over to Europe, the FTSE +0.7% at 7,737, the German DAX +0.6% at 12,843, and the Euro Stoxx 50 +1.1% at 3,483.
