1. Senator Richard Di Natale will use a speech at the National Press Club today to urge Bill Shorten to work with the Greens on climate change policy "just like we did with Julia Gillard in 2011", according to a report by The Australian.

2. Jeremy Hearn, the Liberal candidate for the Victorian seat of Isaacs, is expected to be disendorsed today after posting Islamaphobic comments online.

3. US President Donald Trump and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have agreed to $2 trillion in spending on infrastructure.

4. The Dow Jones gained 0.15% to 26,592.91 and the S&P 500 rose 0.01% to 2,945.83 overnight, while the Nasdaq dropped 0.81%.

5. The UK Labour party will support another referendum on Brexit only if it unable to change the existing deal and an election does not occur. The party's deputy leader Tom Watson and other members had called for a second referendum to be held.
