1. Josh Frydenberg will today announce $2 billion of funding for small and medium business loans, which is expected to lead to lower borrowing costs and also make it easier for businesses to get loans.

2. Australia followed the lead of Wall Street's tech stock selloff yesterday, closing down 107.1 points (1.8%) with Afterpay Touch among the worst hit after falling 6%.

3. Chinese stocks closed higher yesterday, helped by renewed hope of a trade agreement being struck between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping when they meet at the G20 summit in Argentina later this month.

4. CNN has announced a lawsuit against the Trump administration after its Chief White House Correspondent Jim Acosta's press credentials were revoked last week. The company said in a statement that the White House had violated "First Amendment rights of freedom of the press, and their Fifth Amendment rights to due process".

5. Over 1,400 animals are currently in the care of the North Valley Animal Disaster Group in California after being rescued from wildfires. Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, ducks, cows and an alpaca are currently being looked after by the group.
